Girl group UNIS (Jin Hyun-ju, Nana, Jellyanka, Kotoko, Bang Yun-ha, Elicia, Oh Yun-a, Lim Seo-won) is making a comeback by reinterpreting a masterpiece that dominated the 1990s.
UNIS will release the remake single 'Sky Land Star Land' through various music streaming sites at noon on the 8th.
The new song is a reinterpretation of the hit track by female duo Bibi, released in 1997. While maintaining the addictive nature and bright atmosphere unique to the original song, UNIS plans to add kitschy high-teen charm and trendy K-pop sound to deliver sensibilities that span generations.
In particular, attention is focused on the fact that this is the first remake track the group has released since their debut. There is growing anticipation for the new look UNIS will present with Y2K sensibility, having handled diverse concepts so far.
Meanwhile, UNIS entered the Oricon Daily Album Chart at No. 4 and the Billboard Japan Top Album Sales Chart at No. 15 with their first Japanese mini album 'UNI☆Sparkle!' released last July, and continue to enjoy hot popularity, with their title track 'GimmeSummer☆' reaching the top of major local charts.
