Actors Kim You-jung and Park Jin-young will bring perfect chemistry intertwined with lies and suspicion to home viewers.
The tvN new Saturday drama "100 Days of Lies" (directed by Yoo In-sik and Kim Yun-jin, written by Ryu Bo-ri, produced by Studio Dragon and Romance Crew), which will premiere on October 10 at 9:10 PM, has released still cuts of Lee Ga-kyung and Kim Tae-woong who become entangled in lies and suspicion from their first meeting.
"100 Days of Lies" is a 100-day espionage romance that unfolds as Gyeongseong's greatest pickpocket who becomes a mole and an elite interpreter of the Japanese Government-General of Chosun meet at the heart of the enemy. Through the theme of interpretation that sees between the lines of words and the setting of a mole planted by independence fighters, it plans to present unprecedented suspense, fun, and emotion.
Director Yoo In-sik, who created the "Romantic Doctor Kim Sabu" series and "Extraordinary Attorney Woo," takes the megaphone, and writer Ryu Bo-ri, who was beloved for her delicate writing in "Do You Like Brahms?," takes charge of the screenplay. In addition, trusted actors including Kim You-jung, Park Jin-young, Kim Hyun-joo, Lee Mu-saeng, Jin Sun-kyu, Lee Gi-young, Choi Duk-moon, Seo Jeong-yeon, Kim Do-hyun, and Kim In-kwon are mobilizing to add more trust from drama fans.
A historical drama set in Gyeongseong in 1932 and an espionage romance unfolding at the Japanese Government-General of Chosun, Kim You-jung takes on the role of Lee Ga-kyung, Gyeongseong's greatest pickpocket who disguises herself as a Government-General interpreter trainee Kim Seo-hee for 100 days. Park Jin-young takes on the role of Sato Hideo, the adopted son of the Chief of the General Affairs Bureau of the Government-General of Chosun, and Kim Tae-woong, a newly appointed elite interpreter, creating fierce chemistry.
The released photos capture the meeting between Lee Ga-kyung and Kim Tae-woong, who have lived different lives. Attention is drawn to Lee Ga-kyung's elegant Western dress stealing a wallet and the contrasting charm in everyday life wearing a worn traditional hanbok. Lee Ga-kyung, whose goal was to go to America, accepts an irrefutable proposal and displays tense eyes along with a disguised transformation.
Kim Tae-woong appears neat from head to toe. During the Japanese colonial policy of naeseon ilche, Kim Tae-woong was taken as the adopted son of Sato Shin'ichi (played by Jin Sun-kyu) and has lived under the name Sato Hideo. While working as an English interpreter at the Japanese Government-General of Chosun, he faces a destined change upon meeting the interpreter trainee who disguised herself.
The production team conveyed that the two will develop chemistry that becomes deeply intertwined from their first meeting at Gyeongseong Station, starting with lies and suspicion and moving between joy, excitement, and affection.
